Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, made a phone call on Thursday, July 10, 2025, with Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, as part of his follow-up on the distinguished relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the sisterly State of Eritrea .
The two ministers expressed their appreciation for the current level of bilateral relations and political consultation, stressing the importance of building on the tangible progress achieved and moving towards further developing cooperation between the two sides in various fields, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Isaias Afwerki, President of the State of Eritrea, to support and strengthen the bonds of cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries .
Minister Abdel-Ati affirmed Egypt's full support for development projects in Eritrea, based on the historical and fraternal relations between the two countries. He also noted Egypt's keenness to contribute effectively to development and stability efforts in Eritrea .
The call also addressed consultations on a number of regional issues of mutual interest, most notably the situation in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea. The two ministers agreed on the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation and enhancing security and stability in the region.
