During a special interview with journalist Tamer Hanafi on the "Cairo News" channel, he added that Eritrea's position is not a matter of personal preference, but rather a reality, stressing that the stability of Sudan is a fundamental condition for the stability of the region.

Afwerki stressed the need for concerted efforts by the countries of the region to resolve the crisis, noting that the hands of foreign interference must first be removed from Sudan in order to limit conspiracies and complicate the problems.

He explained that the awareness of the Sudanese people has become higher and stronger, and that the countries of the region have begun to understand the magnitude of the challenges and consequences resulting from the current situation, which enhances awareness of regional cooperation and integration to address the core issues.
